Tympanometry
Rapid objective test measuring middle ear pressure and tympanic membrane mobility.
Tympanometry detects middle ear effusion, tympanic membrane perforation and Eustachian tube dysfunction. It is particularly valuable in evaluating middle ear infections in children.
The test takes a few minutes and requires no preparation.
